The software

Actualis is licensed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0. That licence governs your use of the software and takes precedence over anything on this page. Nothing here grants you rights beyond it or takes any away.

As set out in the licence, the software is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Actualis is a measurement tool. It reports what it finds in logs that already exist, and a clean report means nothing matched its detectors — not that nothing is there. Do not treat it as a guarantee that no credential has been exposed, and do not rely on it as your only control.

Trade marks

The AGPL licenses the code. It does not license the name or the marks. “Actualis”, the Actualis A-mark and the Actualis visual identity are trade marks of Digital Foundry Solutions, LLC. You may use them to refer to the project. You may not use them to name or brand a fork, or in a way suggesting endorsement.

Claude Code is a product of Anthropic. Codex is a product of OpenAI. Both are referred to descriptively; neither company is affiliated with or endorses this project.

Provided as is. We aim to keep it accurate, and figures shown in examples are illustrative rather than measurements of any real system.

Financial support is voluntary, buys nothing, and is not a tax-deductible donation — Digital Foundry Solutions, LLC is a for-profit company, not a registered charity. See the support page.
